Attention all CEC
students! It’s time to participate in the ninth annual CCRCE Teen Reader's
Choice Award. This year's top five books include a fictional field guide to
American high school life as told by a black French Canadian; a mystery
involving murder, neglect, and systemic racism; a smart full colour graphic
novel set in a pumpkin patch; a fantastical historical novel filled with love
and imagination; and a graphic novel that humanizes the Syrian refugee crisis.
Read any or all of these
titles and share your thoughts on the Teen Reader's Choice Award blog! Don't forget to follow the CCRCE community by
using the hashtag #5ReasonstoRead2020.
Voting takes place May 4th
to May 24th. You will be able to vote online or by paper ballot.
During the June 9th awards
ceremony a draw will be held with the prize being a Coles gift card. This
ceremony will take place at noon in the library. Students must participate in
the TRCA to be eligible for the draw.
