Twenty-Six is set in a small Nova Scotia town, where a family is changed forever after a devastating mining accident claims the lives of twenty-six men.

Leo McKay, Jr is a writer and currently teaches at Cobequid Educational Centre. He was born and raised in Stellarton, Nova Scotia and now lives in Truro. In addition to Twenty-Six, he is the author of the story collection Like This, both of which were winners of the Dartmouth Book Award.
